Field Mouse Bone Jar Pendant w/ Dried Plants

This crystal-clear glass vial contains real field mouse bones. The bones include the skull and lower jaw, all four legs, shoulderblades and one intact paw with articulated toes.

The bones have been professionally cleaned and preserved with a light spritz of matte acrylic. The bones rest on a bed of dry preserved moss and polished river pebbles; accompanying this setup are sprigs of dried fern and moss, a dry preserved flower and a single dandelion seed. The vial was vacuum-sealed with a cork stopper and should last indefinitely with proper handling.

Hanging from the top of the cork is a golden pheasant feather. That soft golden-orange and black coloration is natural, not dyed. The feather is accented with golden brown tiger's eye stones and a single bead of bright copper. The feather is wired to a short length of antique brass links.

The pendant hangs on a 22 inch antiqued copper chain with a lobster clasp.

Note: the mouse was a naturally deceased wild mouse and not killed by people. All taxidermy was done by me using environmentally safe methods.

The vial measures 3 inches including the cork; it is real glass and thus should be handled gently. The cork must not be removed to ensure long term preservation of the mouse skeleton inside.
